This is a letter of recommendation for Murray and Amy Falk, a great realtor team! Murray helped us every step along the way to make the process as smooth as possible. Murray came to the first meeting with us well prepared with color brochures of recent sales in our neighborhood and even drove us around to show us the houses on the market as well as the recent sales. He knows the neighborhood of Park Paseo as well as Northwood so completely that he can easily quote prices and locations from memory! His knowledge of the area and his familiarity of the houses (their floor plans, square footage, selling prices, how long they had been on the market and how long the escrow had been) was a definite strong point for us in considering Murray to be our realtor.
Another reason why we choose Murray and Amy to be our realtors was their dedication to detail and their following up on details. We listed our house for sale on a Thursday and Murray had an open house that very Sunday. To get everything ready for the open house, Amy came and took pictures for the color brochure. That first set of pictures didn't come out right, so Amy can back to take more pictures and worked into the night Saturday night to get the brochure just right and copies made in time! Amy's attention to the detail of the brochure was important to us! Murray is excellent at following through on details. Once we had a contract and a 30 day escrow planned, Murray stayed on top of every detail related to closing on time. He made sure all the paperwork was completed and offered to take the papers to the escrow company himself. He made sure the inspections took place in a timely and professional manner. When he said he would do something, we knew he really would and would get back to us with a status report. Another thing that goes hand in hand with his attention to detail was his communication with us. Not only would Murray follow up on every detail, he would call and let us know what was going on. Not once did we have to wonder how the process being handled or was it on schedule. When we needed to call Murray, all we had to do was page him and he would call back right away. Usually he would call back within minutes! That is saying something in this age of voice mail!
Another thing that was great about Murray was his negotiation skill. He helped us negotiate the selling price when the contract came in and worked with both sides on the requested repairs from the home inspection report. He made sure we felt satisfied and comfortable with he conditions of the sale.

We recently sold our home in the Northwood section of Irvine to move to San Clemente. We interviewed several realtors 6 months in advance of wanting to list our home just to get some idea of the value of our home and learn of their business practices. We told each of them that we would not be listing until after the first of the year. We chose Murray for two reasons; he was the only realtor to continually (without being a pest) (keep us informed of the real estate activity in our neighborhood, and he lives in the neighborhood which makes him well informed about the association activities as well as local schools.
Once we listed with Murray we were not disappointed with our choice. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. He had several listings going at the time, but never made us feel like he wasn't putting all his effort into selling our home. He kept us informed every step of the way and was always quick to respond to our calls (which were seldom because he seemed to anticipate our questions and called us first). His excellent marketing plan included a color picture brochure of our home, a poster board displaying the advantages of living in Park Paseo, numerous newspaper advertisements and an open house within days of the listing. As a result of his efforts, our home sold in one week at almost full price with a generous leaseback agreement and our escrow closed without a hitch. He has even agreed to remain our agent when it comes to dealing with the buyer on our leaseback renewals (which is above and beyond the scope of his contractual responsibilities).

We would like to recommend Murray Falk in the purchase or sale of your home. Murray recently helped us purchase our home in Park Paseo and also helped us sell our parents house in Northwood. With the purchase of our home, my husband and I knew that we wanted to stay in Northwood, but we were not sure where we wanted to be. Murray helped us narrow our search down by detailing out the pros and cons of each area. Murray was very detailed and thorough in his explanation. Once we knew what we wanted, Murray stayed in constant contact with us and let us know of any new listings that came up, as soon as they came up. Recently, we sold our house in the Northwood neighborhood of Irvine and purchased a condominium in Woodbridge. We used Murray Falk as both the listing agent for the sale of our home in Northwood, and to find and purchase our new home. Murray did an excellent job as both the listing and purchasing agent--we highly recommend him to others considering selling and/or purchasing a new home.
Murray works hard, listens carefully, and pays close attention to important detail. He is an expert on the real estate market in Northwood. He carefully worked with us to prepare our house for sale, to assess similar sales and market conditions, and to establish a good asking price. Murray also was very effective at advertising, preparing a quality sales brochure, and conducting an open house as soon as the home was listed. As a result, our home sold within 5 days, and escrow closed on schedule without problems.
